Glacier TT Cockpit Cooling Kit - Instructions

Glacier TT Cockpit Cooling Kit Instructions

The Glacier TT Cockpit Cooling Kit is a DIY solution that includes all the materials you need to create customized pads for active cooling. Below, you will find detailed instructions on how to install and use your new pads on your cockpit. Please, note that the images below are product renders based on previous prototypes. We are using these as a guidance for costumers. The final result will depend on your cockpit model.

Setting Up Your Cooling Solution

  1. Open the box and ensure all materials are included.
  2. Remove your existing pads. Note how they are attached (either with glue or Velcro), as this will be important when attaching the new pads at the end of the process.

  3. Prepare the bonded layer of Glacier Sheet and Ultra Cool Tech Thermal Foam. Ensure it is flat, and use your pads to draw the cutting line.

  4. Cut the bonded layer to match the shape of the pads.

  5. If needed, add extra foam at pressure points to improve comfort. You can cut it from the foam layer provided in the kit and use the glue to assemble everything.

  6. You may need to ensure that some cooling material remains exposed (not covered by your arms) to improve the cooling effect. For this purpose, cut additional material from the provided Glacier Sheet to create a surface slightly wider than your current pads.

  7. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly.

  8. In the meantime, line the cockpit with the copper tape. This creates a thermally conductive layer that helps with heat dissipation. This step is recommended.

    • Attach your newly assembled pads to the cockpit using Velcro or glue, depending on the original setup.

    • Finish by wrapping the hand grips with Glacier Tape for additional cooling.

    Using Your Cooling Solution

Once installed, the cooling system is very easy to use. Follow these steps:

    • Thoroughly wet the pads. This activates the cooling effect, which remains active as long as the pads stay wet.
    • If you are storing your bike in the transition zone, wet the pads and cover them with the Glacier Towel so they are ready for use. Note that the Glacier Towel should also be wet.
    • Add water regularly while riding, if possible, to maintain the cooling effect.

Is the Glacier TT Cockpit Cooling Solution compatible with my setup?

The Glacier TT Cooling Kit has been engineered for seamless integration across virtually all modern cockpit and aerobar systems, both open and closed.

The reason is straightforward. With our cooling kit, you can create replacement pads that include our active cooling technology. You can use your current pads, no matter the size, as a template to make new ones. Running a custom configuration? No problem. If it has pads, it will fit!

All the materials in the kit come in sheet form, allowing you to cut them to fit your needs, bond them together, and create exactly the pad you require.

This includes leading brands such as Fast TT, Drag2Zero, Trek, Vision, Profile Design, 51 Speed Shop, Aero Coach, TriRig, Cube, and Canyon, among others.
